Award-winning mixologist and longtime traveler, Maxwell has visited countless countries in search of world-class cocktail ingredients and special stories and is now bringing his expertise to Quartz. This project has been a long time coming for Berlin, who is putting his love of geography and cocktails to the test, researching everything from geology to modern art, inspiring every one of the unique cocktails served at Quartz. Find Maxwell, the maestro of mixology at Quartz, behind the bar artfully creating cocktails with attention to every detail.

BEVERAGE DIRECTOR

Paul is no stranger to the F&B space in the Valley from Belly Kitchen & Bar, Sin Muerte to Cobra Arcade Bar, and is now also heading up the beverage program at Quartz. Alongside Maxwell, the two conceptualized and brought their vision of cocktails to life. The bar’s menu and theme are an ode to the twelve precious birthstones in each calendar year. With each stone’s unique characteristics driving the flavor profiles and visual experience of each cocktail. Paul is a former musician bringing his creative and artistic abilities to downtown Phoenix's nightlife scene.

Instrumental Hospitality, the hospitality development company located in Phoenix, Ariz., is the creative collective of food & beverage gurus behind cult-fav Belly Kitchen & Bar, buzz-worthy Sin Muerte, and now Quartz, the outfit's first standalone bar.  For this project, IH partnered with longtime collaborator Chuckie Duff, known for Cobra Arcade Bar, Ziggy’s Pizza and The Rebel Lounge (to name a *very few) to deliver something truly unique.
